The man in charge at Aroha Helicopters is Skiv Devescovi. If you’ve not encountered Skiv before, it’s likely because he’s been busy flying helicopters for the last 20 years. Ask him to tell you stories about flying in Burma, Kenya, Botswana, Antarctica, Australia or Papua New Guinea. He can tell these stories because he’s been there, done that and lived to tell the tales.

When you’ve had 20 years behind the controls of helicopters you inevitably run into some hairy situations. And wouldn’t you like to learn from a guy who’s had all the frights and knows how to teach you how to avoid them?

We operate a Cabri G2, our “Piwakawaka” which is a very 21st century helicopter, it is also quickly becoming the number one choice of training aircraft in New Zealand due to its impressive characteristics.

We understand that doing your licence is a big commitment especially if you have full time work and a family to look after, we will work with you when you are available, be it early mornings, late evenings or even weekends we are here to help you to your licence goal.
